6th Sunbury Brownies
celebrate their 25th Birthday.

This year 6th Sunbury Brownies celebrated their 25th Birthday and held a party in July.
The 25 logo was designed by our brownies.

We make things, have fun out-of-doors, think about Brownies in other countries and play games.

We also take part in District events with other Brownies in Sunbury. We have annual swimming galas, sports days, handicraft exhibitions and a Thinking Day service with all the members of the Association in Sunbury. In the summer holidays we go away for a few days on our Pack Holiday and have great fun!!

We are part of the largest female voluntary organisation in the world with 10 million members - The Guide Association. Our aim is to develop and encourage girls to take part in activities within our Association and the wider community. Brownies are aged 7-10 years. We can have up to 30 girls in our unit at any one time. We currently have five adult leaders called Brown Owl, Tawny, Snowy, Squirrel and Badger! We meet in Sunbury Methodist Church Hall.

Our meetings are based around our eight-point programme and our Promise:

I Promise that I will do my best, To love my God,
To serve the Queen and my country,
To help other people
And to keep the Brownie Guide Law.
